A precut friendly, great way to show off those prints you just can't bear to cut up!
As soon as I saw Lella Boutiques' upcoming line, Smoke & Rust - I knew I needed to make something. I am always on the search for a good line my boys would love! This collection was perfect. Perfectly rustic, outdoorsy and a perfect color palate.
I designed the Caved quilt to be beginner + precut friendly. By using 1 layer cake + background yardage you can whip up this quilt in no time. The large pieces for the blocks allow you to pick prints that shine - those prints you love to look at but don't want to cut so small you can't see them!
Caved made it's debut this week in Issue 39 of Make Modern Magazine. The rustic prints and the peaks and caving valleys of the blocks reminded me of camping and hiking and finding hidden treasures in the outdoors.
If you are new to Make Modern Magazine, let me tell you a little bit about it. It's an online (digital) monthly quilting magazine. It is based down under ( Australia) and features designers world wide. It's full of great inspiration, fun new quilts, tips, tricks and more!
To get your hands on this pattern now, you can grab your copy of Issue 39 right here.
